Dalarna
Dalarna is a region in the central Swedish region of Svealand. Dalarna is surrounded by the regions of Härjedalen, Hälsingland, Gästrikland, Västmanland and Värmland, and is connected to Norway in the west. The name Dalarna means “the valleys”, which is often reflected in the landscape. The inhabitants like to hold on to old traditions. In the west, some inhabitants still speak the old dialect and in general, the people like to be independent.
